I've been tagged!

What a nice surprise to an otherwise stressful day! My good friend Sarah of Marvellous Mouse tagged me. Thanks Sarah!
Now I am supposed to choose one of my favorite designs. Not an easy task for a designer.

Eeny meeny miny moe.....

Ok, so it is undeniable, my latest creation is usually my favorite and these are no exception. However, these sets have a few other elements that make them stand out from the rest.





New fabric, new designs, new ideas! This was my first attempt at a "sister set". And many of the elements of each design are brand new to me!

Now, the modeling process, may be the ultimate reason that I love these so much. For the first time this winter, we were able to get outside and run around. They had so much fun modeling these sets and their personalities really show through in these pictures.

For me these two sets represent new beginnings, the beautiful innocense of children and the power to create.

What was once a figment of my imagination has now become a reality.

And, may I say, a fabulous way to start my day!

The best part of all was the fabric!! I got to use my favorite fabric. I have to admit, I had a really hard time cutting into it. It's just so beautiful, but when I did, oh my... It would take a freight train to stop me now.

So by the time I had finished my first set, I was ready to start on a matching sister set. I think they turned out so cute and my girls just love them.

I had originally intended to use the head wraps for a sash, but my girls insisted on wearing them on their head. They look cute that way though, so I took their advice.

I have already ordered more of that fabulous fabric, so these two sets are just the first of many more to come. Stay tuned....

Just when I thought Winter was over.....

To my sweet surprise, I awoke to a blanket of white beauty across the valley. The crisp air and the fresh smells awaken an ambition in me that has become stagnant in the midst of the dreary winter.

It has been a relatively dry winter here, which is unusual for this part of the country. So any new snow is invigorating and I love to share my excitement with you.

And we expect more this weekend!

Finding the time....

My five beautiful children keep me on my toes every minute of the day. So I find myself spending more and more hours awake at night fullfilling my other passion in life. Sewing, sewing, sewing and now blogging too.

Who needs sleep anyway, right? I will have plenty of time for sleep later!

After much discussion lately about blogs, I have been very inspired to revamp mine. I started my blog last year, but haven't made it a priority to keep up. Over the past couple of months I have been thinking of doing something with it. Thanks to a couple of very inspiring friends .... Well, here I am!
