The Peony

This flower is always in bloom on Memorial Day in my yard, so I always clip a bunch and put them together in a bouquet to place on the headstones of those loved ones who have fallen. Whenever I see this flower it reminds me how lucky I am to have the opportunity to stop and smell these beautiful flowers.

I'm seeing stars and stripes lately. Everywhere I turn, I am listing with a Patriotic Theme. I just love red white and blue lately.


I asked my sweet husband to make me a red white and blue bracelet. I thought it was so cute that I thought you might want to sport one this July too.

The Smell of Purple

Every color brings up a distinct fragrant memory for me. Purple brings visions of Spring Lilacs and Fields of Lavendar. Unfortunately, I didn't have any lavendar blossoms photographed yet.

I'm not sure what this flower is, but I just love them.

Remember this post? I mentioned something you might like. I have this absolute love for photographing anything I can get within my lens. I look at everything in a new light. Everything is more vibrant with details I have never noticed before. The world looks more beautiful and if it's not, I find a way to edit it and make it interesting at least. So rather than bog down this blog with a ton of photos, I have started Where Time Stand Still for my friends and family to keep up with all the photos I keep telling them about.

Yay, I think I am actually caught up for a minute! With the auction listing, that is. Now I can get caught up on everything else. I have some tagging to do, and a couple other things I think you will enjoy. If you like seeing my photography blossom as I continue to learn new things, then you will really like what I am working on now, but that is all I can say for now. I have been team tagged by Chelsea and Dena to tell 7 things about myself.

Ok, I don't sleep more than 4 hours per night. I cannot go to sleep before midnight or I will wake up at two and be up for hours.

My favorite game when I was a small child was Button Button Who's Got The Button.

I married my high school sweetheart 13 years ago.

My husband taught me to cook. When I first married, I could not cook!

My favorite recipe is Microwave Carmel! If you want the instructions leave me a message and I will post it:)

I'd choose a Coke over water any day of the week.

I am severely scared of heights. I can hyperventilate just thinking about it too much.

A sure sign of spring..... Right?

Spring was here. The snow was a distant memory and my heart began to soar as it does with the first signs of spring. This is my favorite season as the sun spills it's warmth across the land, bringing new life to all and renewing my spirit.

Mother Nature, reminded me that she was in charge though. She brought wind, rain, and of course, snow over the weekend. It lasted throughout the weekend, but just before the sun was to set, it shared some light with an inspiring sunburst across the yard.

Through the lense of my camera, I see the world as I want to.
