I just got tagged by my sweet friend Amy who has some of the cutest bags!
So here is what I am supposed to do......
Answer the following questions and then tag 5 people.
What was I doing ten years ago?
Hmm ten years ago, I was living and working in Las Vegas. That was before the kids came;)
What are five (non-work) things on my to-do list for today?
1) Grocery Shopping
2) Ship my nephew's birthday presents
3) laundry
4) edit some more photos and order my kids portrait prints
5) Go to the bank
Five snacks I enjoy:
1) Carmel
2) Nachos
3) Pistachios
4) Cashews
5) Granola
Things I would do if I were a billionaire:
1) Travel a lot
2) Invest in properties
3) Probably still be a work-a-holic
4) Build my house on a very large piece of property far out of town
5) Invest in small women owned businesses
6) Buy all of the fancy accessories, lenses, and toys for my photography love. Then of course I would need to travel more to get once in a lifetime shots.
7) Donate all of my handmade items to charities, hospitals, and such.
Places I've lived:
1) Las Vegas, NV
2) All over Utah and Idaho
3) Atlanta, Georgia
Jobs I've had:
High School:
1) Craft Store
2) Subway
3) Gift Wrapper
4) Server
After High School:
1) Receptionist for hair salon
2) AR specialist
3) Massage Therapist
4) Accountant
Now I'm on to tagging 5 more people. I think today I will choose 5 of my sweet groupmates from Trendy Textiles
Saturday is my 31st birthday and I'm finding myself a little down about it all. I'm not sure why, because I made it through the big 30. This just seems a little different, and maybe I'm feeling a little older, a little more tired, and deffinately a little crazier this year. So I thought some sales might cheer me up and keep me busy enough to maybe forget how old I'm getting.
So I am having a storewide sale on everything in my Etsy store until Saturday June 21st. Please stop by my store and take a peek if you have a minute and if you see something you like, grab it while you can at a great discount!
Thanks:)
Mandy
Two weekends ago, my husband and I, and a few family members (no kids allowed) drove 8 hours North to get in on the massive Salmon run. There were so many Salmon running this year that they increased the daily limit to 5 per day! That's a lot, considering 2 years ago it was a 2 per day limit.
We thought for sure we were going to rake them in this year. Off we went with toting 6 heavy duty poles on top of this overloaded little Suzuki. Surprisingly, we didn't bottom out, but it was great on gas.
So off we went, driving and driving and still driving. "Are we there yet?" wasn't even worth reciting. We left in the evening and drove through the night. I couldn't get many pictures of the drive up there, but I had my camera handy as soon as the sun was supposed to peak over the horizon, or I mean the peaks of the mountains.
We arrived while it was still dark and found that the river was so high that most of the fishing spots were covered in water! Not to worry, we had our trusty guides with us, who knew the "backup" spots and within a few short minutes we were standing alongside the rushing river. I have to admit, it was a little disorienting to stand on the banks of such a large river with rapid swells crashing down. I couldn't believe fish could even swim in this. I was assured that they were in fact swimming in it and if we were lucky, we might catch one.
So we fished and fished, and then we fished some more. We had a couple bites and a lot of snags, but no fish for us. We finally checked into the hotel. It turned out to be a really nice hotel, which was surprising, since the town consisted of 400 people. I thought it would be a dump, but still better than a tent.
Anyway, we were pleasantly surprised and they even served cookies and milk every night.
The next day we got up and fished some more. Caught a lot more snags, because the river was so high, and we did a lot of re-tieing the most disgusting bait I have ever touched. It's colorful and pretty, but that's it.
We caught more snags than anything. Some even had us excited, but nonetheless, they were nothing more than snags.
We did have a couple bites, and that was really exciting, because they are fighters, but in the end, still nothing.
And then there were the guys across the river in the boat. They caught a couple.
We took a drive through the countryside and saw just how beautiful it is up there. They still had snow in some parts and river was so fast it was white with rapids. Beautiful.![]()
We took it fairly easy the second day and just enjoyed the beauty and tranquility of the area and the fact that my kids were home, lol. It was so peaceful and this place had really great entertainment for tourists, so we ate well, and enjoyed ourselves.

Recognize the polka dot one? I had it in my Etsy store and I love it so much, I decided to offer it on eBay too!
Speaking of Etsy store, I have been stocking it frequently, so pop in and see what's new.
Other news, it looks like we may see a heat wave over here, so hopefully I will start having some fun pictures to share with you.
I had the pleasure of working with Amy from PriddyCreations, hence the title. Amy is so a sweetie, and I loved working with her. I created several flowers for her to use as brooches for her bags.
I love her bags and have loved seeing my flowers accessorizing her bags. Here are the two listed on Etsy now. And I am also listing them as customizable hair clips in my store. They would make a perfect pair for a mommy daughter set.
The latest launch from Trendy Textiles on Etsy includes the fabulous new line of Bell Bottoms from Jennifer Paganelli! Search ttbellbottoms for all of the fabulous listings.
Since summer seems to be getting farther away, I have indulged in these bright summery prints and have created some of the most vibrant items with them.
I have listed 2 dresses in my Etsy store today and plan to list many more items over the next week. So stay tuned!
here is a peek at a couple hair flowers I will be listing too.

As for my big sale, it's ending today. So get in there and make your purchases before midnight.
My tired sweet hardworking camera is looking for resting spot, so it's time for a new one.
So I decided to hold a sale in my Etsy shop.
have been wondering why I have been hiding out so much this week. I have been busy busy getting my listings ready for both launches I spoke of in the previous post.
I listed this adorable Mod Blossom set on eBay
For those who are curious, no, I haven't gone back to eBay for long. As tempting as it may be, it just takes too much time and my little ones need me now. I had some prior commitments with some great friends for this launch. I do plan to list once in a while for special occasions, but not often. Thanks for understanding;)
Ok now for my Etsy launch! I have started filling my shop with lots of Ginger Blossom goodies and plan to list throughout the month! So keep you eyes peeled for some new and exciting things. I am really so inspired by this fabric that I can't stop thinking of new fun things to designs. Anyway, here are some of my etsy treasures.
Little Lilly
and
The ever popular Ginger Blossom Hairflower
Thanks to my sweet model and mommy, Crystal from So*Euro
I also added some sweet little Hair Daisies to my shop and they match many of the Ginger Blossom prints. So stop by my shop and check it out!
And I promise, in my next post I will share my new exciting news with you. I gotta run now since it's Saturday! Enjoy your weekend.
for my absence, that is.
I couldn't think of a better reason for not having enough time to blog though:)
We had a wonderful Easter. The sun was shining and the kids had so much fun finding eggs, hiding them and finding them again, and just being able to run and play. We spent the day with all of our extended family and the kids od'd on the candy until they passed out. It took two days for them to recover from the sugar hang over, but it was still fun.
I hope you all had a wonderful Easter too.
I am up to my ears in Ginger Blossom and I love it. As you may have noticed above, my girls are all wearing it!
Several months ago, some of my long time friends in Couture Society and I decided we wanted to honor our sweet friend Sandi by organizing a launch with some of the most fabulous designers on eBay using her debut fabric. So we started the Ginger Blossom group on eBay.
The fruits of our labors can be seen here here until April 1st!
We ended up having such a huge interest in the launch, that I started another group for a launch on Etsy. There were so many members with so many wonderful items to showcase, we decided to break the launch in two events.
So here we are at the end of March, the earth is beginning to show signs of Spring and what better way to jump in Spring and Summer, than with some Ginger Blossom of your own!
With over 80 members participating in this launch, you are sure to find many delectable items. This launch lasts for a whole month, so be sure to check in frequently and see what's new!
Now for the prize giveaway! My random number generator tells me post number 3 is the lucky winner! So if you will email me and let me know your address and stuff, I will send out your super sweet Ginger Blossom surprise.
I have more news to share, but I will wait for another post to tell you all about that, because it deserves a post of it's own.
I know, it's taken me a while to get here and for those of you still reading, I think a party is in order!
So who knows how to party?
The girls from my Ginger Blossom group, of course!
And what better way to celebrate than with the newest craze from Sandi?
A bunch of designers decided to get together and do what we love most, create fabulous things with the most delectable fabric!
And the result is a wonderful array of fashionable and yummy items for kids and mom! Click the picture above to visit the launch on Etsy.com
Here is my addition to the launch.........
Now isn't there a tradition for some kind of giveaway for the 100th post??
Hmmm, how about you leave a comment, and I will do a random drawing for the winner. What's the prize you ask?? Well, let just say it's a surprize, but it will definitely be handmade by me and will include the famous Ginger Blossom fabric.
So, leave me a comment for a chance to win!
Oh and be sure to stop by and check out the Treasury my friend Kristen snagged on Etsy!
