We Painted The Town Pink part 3...

By now I'm sure you have read everyone's blogs and have seen the pictures. Are you wondering why I am dragging this out for so long? Well the sad truth is, that I'm not quite ready to let it all go yet. I was so moved by this experience and made many new friendships, that I want to keep reliving it and this is how I am doing it. This will be my final installment until I get some of the pictures that I wasn't able to get on my camera. After I get them, I will post some more.

Some more photos of the PJ party!

Some of the great stuff I took home from the getaway!

Boutique Jammies!

Many of us made our jammies just for this event. There were so many cute ones, but these were my personal favorite!!

And one of the highlights of the entire weekend were the fabulous speakers!

Amelia Boutique Cafe's "Hot Mom" shared some great ideas and predictions for summer fashion. She is truly a "hot mom". Not only is she beautiful on the outside, but she is truly inspiring and a beautiful person. And she's got style! (sorry, I don't have a good picture of Amelia that would do her beauty justice)

Carrie from Puddle Jumper Shoes shared her inspiring story and reminded us of the importance of "Being Kind and Greatful" and showing us that when you decide you want something you really can achieve it.

And Charlene from Greggy Girl, jam packed so much valuable information into a short amount of time. I was so inspired by her and her ideas and her passion for connections. If you weren't there you really missed out on this!

AbbyChase is giving back too

On the heels of the one and only, American Idol, we have decided to give
back too.
I must admit that while I watched American Idol last night,
I was brought to tears several times. I have been looking for a way to give
something back, because I have been so blessed with many gifts and abilities.
Well, I was so inspired last night, the ideas were overflowing. I will share them
with you as they come together. I jumped right on the One blog and committed
myself to this movement. I also pledged a percentage of all proceeds from our summer sales! Look for my sales sporting the One banner and it will indicate how much of the
proceeds will be donated!

The ONE Campaign!

We painted the town PINK part 2

As promised, more details about the Boutique Cafe Girl's Getaway!

Good Food: Family style Italian food Buca di Beppo with enough food to feed an army!

Good Friends: I brought my best friends, my sisters along to see just how much fun this boutique community really is.
I met some of the most fabulous women I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.
Friendships were forged, bonds were strengthened, and relationships intensified.

We were so lucky to share our table with members of 7&co

Andrea, Heidi, and my long time friend Renee' who I adore.

Good Gifts: During the gift exchange I learned that Cincinnati has the best barbeque sauce, that it's a small world after all, and The lime in the coconut is very addictive.

~Amelia and Eva threw the most fabulous Pajama Party the Hilton had ever seen~
And the little cutie delivering more Fiji water to the room full of hotties can attest to that!

Giggling was contagious

Fiji water and bite size candy bars were plentiful

And Daria is still beautiful in her pjs.

Stop by again for another installment of the Boutique Cafe Girls Getaway in Salt Lake City!

She was determined.........

to get my undivided attention. This afternoon, I had almost completed the second installment of Reports from Painting The Town Pink and my daughter hit the power button on my computer. I lost all of my work, and I may share with you, I am still on dial-up. (not by choice either)
I will try and get some more pictures and details posted tomorrow. I know you can't wait!

Delicate, wise, and peaceful. What flower are you?

You Are a Blue Flower

A blue flower tends to represent peace, openness, and balance.

At times, you are very delicate like a cornflower.

And at other times, you are wise like an iris.

And more than you wish, you're a little cold, like a blue hydrangea.

I'm a hopeless romantic. What art movement are you?

You Are Romanticism

You are likely to see the world as it should be, not as it is.

You prefer to celebrate the great things people do... not the horrors they're capable of.

For you, there is nothing more inspiring than a great hero.

You believe that great art reflects the artist's imagination and true ideals.

We Painted The Town Pink!

Wow, what an inspiring weekend. I have so much to share about this our little getaway weekend! There is no way I can do it all in one post though. So I have decided to string it out in bits and pieces all week. I know you want all the juicy details, but some things are for the BC Getaway girls only:)
I will fill you in on as many of the details as I can throughout the week though.

When I got home Saturday night I found this.....

If you don't already know, I left behind five beautiful kiddos and an outstanding husband who I missed very much. So while the better half of my family were kicking up their hills, cuz Mom was gone! They were still thinking of me. My daughters picked these out of our yard and then they wrote letters, drew pictures, and sealed them with a kiss in this little envelope. It was such a treat after a overwhelmingly fabulous weekend to come home to this sweet sentiment.

I know you can't wait to hear all about the Girl's Getaway, so here's a little taste of tomorrow.
Good food, good friends, good gifts! Oh, and let's not forget, it's all about the pj's!

And notice all the great links I have added. These girls will be posting about our weekend too. Check them out!

I'm Off to "Paint The Town Pink"

Well not officially until tomorrow, but I know I won't have time to post tomorrow. There will be eating, shopping, great speakers and I would assume with that many girlies together, there will be much giggling.
I am looking forward to making new friendships, and strengthening current friendships.
I'll give you all the details when I get back!

Bavarian Fairtyale!

This launch was so much fun. I took the traditional Bavarian apron and peasant dress and made it perfect for little girlies. I love how this turned out for the Elite Euro summer launch.

If you want to get one of these for your little princess, you can find it here.

Easter Weekend!

I can't believe it's here already. This year is just flying by so quickly. This weekend we will be coloring Easter Eggs, hunting them, going to the zoo, and many other exciting activities in this beautiful sunshine! And finally on Sunday, we will be offering our thanks to our dear Lord for his sacrifice and many tender mercies in this life. You probably won't hear from me again until Monday, but I will post some pictures of the fun.

For now I will leave you with a peak at my cute little diaper bag that I made out of some remnants I picked up.

Have a wonderful and happy Easter!

Who's got the cheese to go with my whine?

So it's been four days since I started my road to a complaint free world. I don't officially have my bracelet, but I thought I would start practicing now. An eye opener it has been, but I find it easier to change my wording about my gripe.
For example, today my sewing machine was giving me grief and I started whining and remembered my promise, so instead I said "I love my sewing machine! I love the way it does these beautiful buttonholes. It did such a great job on the last set of buttonholes that I did, and it's going to do these beautifully." and VIOLA, the once frustrating buttonhole situation turned right around! My buttonholes turned out just as perfect as ever!
I have to say that this challenging challenge is so worth the effort. So, for those of you who are reading this and also participating in this challenge, don't give up. Some days life throws you some pretty heavy stuff, but it's all how you look at it.
One day at a time:)
Pictures without the hassle??

Is that possible? Well, I want to find out! Five minute for mom is having yet another contest.
They are giving away the coolest little photo printer, called Presto . Go check it out!

Hubby got a new hobby!

So have I ever mentioned how many hats my amazing hubby wears? Well, he has recently added jewelry design to his artistic hats! I am so thrilled about this. I just love to share the boutique world with him and now he can share an interest in it too.

So how did this all happen you may ask. One day (of many) we were browsing the fabric store (did I mention how much he despised this) looking for notions and for some fabric for a gift for the newest member of my dear friends family!

We had all 5 kiddos with us this time, two in the caddilac of monster strollers and the only way to keep them quiet is to stroll. So hubby, doing a very good job of quieting them with fistfulls of gummi bears and strolling through the store, he stumbled on the beading section. WOW, he had handfulls of findings and we spent another hour and a finished of the gummi bears in the beading section! (and this was AFTER I was finished with my fabric shopping)

Now we enter the store armed with candy for the kiddos and much time to spare, as we split the kids (me with the majority, lol) and we do our shopping.

So anyway, I have just listed this little gem with TheJills Birthday Beach Party launch.

I also listed 2 sets from my new line of "BabyBritches" by AbbyChase

21 days without a whine..............

This sweet little church started the most wonderful challenge called Complaint Free World. Since then miss Oprah and several others have featured it on their shows. They have gotten over 2 million requests for these bracelets!
Now there is a movement beginning in the boutique world too and we have PamperingBeki to thank for that!
I was tagged by my sweet sweet friend Sarah who just knew I would love this challenge!

So, here are the details:
There's a movement right now to help create a Complaint Free World. Can YOU do it? Can you go without complaining for 21 days? Scientists say it takes 21 days to break a habit and create a new one. So can you? Here's what you need to do.
1. Click on Beki's blog to order a free purple Complaint Free bracelet.
2. Tag at least 3 people and spread the word. Challenge them to participate.
3. Sign the Mr. Linky On Beki's Blog so we can see how far this goes!4. The final step, and most important. STOP COMPLAINING! You put your bracelet on and any time you catch yourself complaining you must switch it to the opposite wrist. The goal is to go 21 days without switching it. If you switch it, your 21 days starts all over again.
So the movement has begun, and now I have been tagged to join. What can I say, but ABSOLUTELY! I love this challenge. I love the idea of a world coming together to make it a happier place.

I am going to tag Ash, Renee', and Em not that any of these fabulous girls are complainers, but I just know they are always up for a challenge!
I also have to tag a couple people who don't have blogs, but are avid readers of mine. Shaun and Michelle, you will so appreciate this.

Thanks, Sarah for tagging me, and thanks to the wonderful volunteers of this little church who dedicate their time to all of us, who they don't know, but still show their love for. You are greatly appreciated.

A little dream I had has come to fruition....

I had a little idea about a year ago about a design theme. I wanted to include all cultures of the world. I wanted to rotate them each launch featuring somewhere new and exciting. Well, I'm not the only one who loved this idea, so I decided to start a group! We all love creating designs inspired by different countries, their children, and the cultures.
So just to wet your pallate, we have decided on a mini launch. Salsa Fresca is our theme of choice in honor of Cinco de Mayo coming soon! Just a taste of what is yet to come.
Soon we will reveal our whole group in all of it's glory! We have many fabulous designers who can't wait to share Children of the World Boutique, but for now, here is a little taste.

This is how I do Salsa Fresca......

and there are many more fabulous listings. Come check them out!

Friendship is a unique beauty...
Recently my friend Sarah posted on her blog about "Random acts of kindness". Not only did she list me, but she inspired me.
Sarah, I hope it's ok, I wanted to keep this going!
Life does sometimes leave you in a whirlwind, wondering what just happened. Life, doesn't wait for you to catch your breath, or approve of the way things are. Whether good or bad, it just happens, much of it is beyond our control, but there are some things that we can control.
I have recently experienced some things that made me take a step back and evaluate what is really important. One of the important things are friends.
Friends resemble these simple little "Bleeding Hearts" who are recognized for their unique beauty. Although these little flowers won't be stealing the spotlight at the garden show, nor will they be remembered for their size or popularity, they will be remembered for their ability to be beautiful just the way they are.
True friends are those who aren't trying to be someone they're not. They aren't tripping over themselves to get ahead of you. They aren't boasting their beauty. They are those who have separated themselves from the weeds by helping when they can, by being kind to others, but most of all, by being who they are and that is beautiful!
Thanks to those beautiful friends in my life...
Those who wish to remain anonymous (you know who you are)
My husband
My kids
My Mommy and Daddy
Jera, Michelle, and Lindsey
There are times in our life when we make an impression on a person without even trying or even knowing it for that matter. Treat others as if you are making that impression each and every time.
Thanks again Sarah for inspiring me to do something I have been meaning to do:)

There are so many beautiful elegant sets out there, and I have to admit, I almost always choose to make them.
This time, I wanted to make something different. Something simple that she can wear just about anywhere. Something that she can just have a blast in and still make an impression. So this is the first of many new simple sets!
Oh, but don't worry, I will still be making plenty of those beautiful little customs you have come to expect.
You can get this one right now!
